The main aim of the Healthy Lifestyle Course is to increase healthy lifestyle knowledge and practice and to boost communication skills, self esteem and confidence. The course is adapted to meet the needs of different community groups of all abilities. Previously, the Healthy Lifestyle Course has been enjoyed by elderly community groups and parents - the course being held in their children's schools.

The Healthy Lifestyle Course includes introduction to health, and information and advice regarding: healthy eating, physical activity, stress, relaxation, smoking cessation, coronary heart disease, diabetes and weight management.

The exercise element of the course includes yoga, tai chi, arm chair exercise, body toning, aerobics, walking, dance, ball games, and sports, kick boxing.
