Football crazy

Blackburn North Healthy Living Centre is the lead partner with Neighbourhood Engagement, Lancashire Police Constabulary and St Marks Residents group in delivering a physical activity project at Witton Park.  The Healthy Living Centre has funded coaches from UK MultiSports Academy Ltd for the ‘Football Crazy’ event for young people from the St Marks area in the Wensley Fold area.  The project arose from the concerns from the St Marks residents group about the number of young people congregating around the area in anti-social behavior.  The aim of the event is to introduce young people to football and healthy activities in the summer holidays by organising football activities to promote a healthy lifestyle and thus giving the young people something positive to do with their spare time.
UK Multi Sports Academy will provide football activities followed by a Target Ball Challenge. All children involved will be given, water and fruit to encourage young people to eat more fruit. Also, each child will have a certificate to take home.
