The HLC team went to a School Council meeting at Witton Park High School Business and Enterprise College to meet with the group and talk about a drop-in at the school.  Ten members showed interest in helping to plan the project and used two of their lunchtimes per week to help out.

The group looked at how they were going to develop a drop-in and the sorts of issues people may want information and advice on. This included issues such as healthy eating, exercise, bullying, stress, relationships, money worries, harassment, sexual health, drugs, smoking, alcohol, and college, jobs and training.

The group then looked at what they needed to do to set up the drop-in and devised a timeline.  This featured items such as publicity, designing a questionnaire, having a name the drop-in competition, and how the drop-in would be monitored.

Once the survey had been designed, it was sent out to all 1100 pupils and 610 were returned. From this, the group were able to see what the main issues young people wanted advice and information on.

A name was chosen from the competition - 'Health R Us' and the slogan 'Be Healthy, Be Happy'.  Once this had been decided, flyers were designed and sent off to the printers.

The group are in the process of organising a presentation to all agencies involved with young people, so that they can support the project.
